Hi everybody,
One day I got an email which directed me to this link:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EADUQWKoVek&feature=related

From there I visited this link, the originators of this song:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2eKZryEAzUg&feature=related

After a brief google search I found the full story at Mudcat:
http://www.mudcat.org/thread.cfm?threadid=113962&messages=28

I went back to the original for the correct words and edited the versions together. Here they are and what a great (long) song this is.
Could it be that history is unfolding before our very eyes?

The Irishman Barack O'Bama

Bold words: The Corrigan Brothers (originators of the song)
Other words: Shay Black, Chris Caswell and many others.
Tune similar to: "Sweet Betsy from Pike"

Chorus:
O'Leary, O'Reilly, O'Hare, and O'Hara,
There's no one as Irish as Barack O'Bama.
From the old Blarney Stone to the green Hill of Tara,
There's no one as Irish as Barack O'Bama.

You don't believe it, I hear you say,
But Barack's as Irish as was JFK.
His granddaddy's
(grand)daddy came from Moneygall
A small Irish village known to you all.

He's as Irish as bacon and cabbage and stew.
He's Hawaiian; he's Kenyan; American, too.
And if he succeeds (and he has a chance),
I'm sure our Barack will do Riverdance.

His mam's daddy's granddaddy, one Falmuth Kearney,
He's as Irish as any from the Lakes of Killarney.
His mam's from a long line of great Irish mammas.
There's no one as Irish as Barack O'Bama.

He looks after his own, a true son of St. Patrick.
He chose as his mate, Joe Biden, a Catholic.
Proddies, Jews, Muslims, the great Dalai Lama
Know there's no one as Irish as Barack O'Bama.

From Spain 'cross the waters, from France and beyond,
Our people have come and though many have gone,
We remain what we are when we all started out.
(And of the Black Irish, Barack is, no doubt!)

Our Barack's a hero, so I've heard them say -
Fenian to Kenyan, the American Way!
He's Cuchulainn, Liongo, not Vishnu or Brahma,
But there's no one as Irish as Barack O'Bama.

A name is a name and there's no doubt about it.
Barack O'Bama's name, now we can shout it!
Whether apostrophe or inverted comma,
There's no one as Irish as Barack O'Bama.

Now you Hillary supporters don't you vote for McCain,
And the VP needs brains, so forget about Palin.
With Cheney and Bush - they are all ignorama!
There's no one as Irish as Barack O'Bama.

From Kerry and Cork, to old Donegal,
Let's hear it for Barack, from old Moneygall!
From the Lakes of Killarney to old Connemara,
There's no one as Irish as Barack O'Bama.

Last Chorus:
Tooral U, tooral S tooral A, toor a lama,
There's no one as Irish as Barack O'Bama.
Tooral U, tooral S tooral A, toor a lama,
There's no one as Irish as Barack O'Bama.

And seriously, if you haven't already done it, listen to the original of this song to really appreciate the humor involved:
